Membership

Absolutely. Members’ funds are insured for at least $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the United States government that regulates, charters, and supervises federal credit unions. Since the NCUA began insuring credit unions’ deposits, not one penny of insured funds have been lost by a member of a federally insured credit union.

To open a personal account, Campco requires a valid US identification card (such as a driver’s license, passport, Military ID or State ID). As well as a social security number, address, and a valid phone number. Additional information may be required for other accounts types like businesses or accounts for minors.

To establishment membership with the credit union, you will need to deposit $5.00 in your base share account. This initial deposit is held in your account while it is open and will be returned to you if you every choose to close your account.

Anyone who lives, works, or worships in Big Horn, Campbell, Converse, Crook, Goshen, Hot Springs, Johnson, Natrona, Niobrara, Park, Platte, Sheridan, Teton, Washakie, or Weston Counties, Wyoming. We also serve Lawrence, Meade and Pennington Counties in South Dakota.

Our credit decisions are based on your income and your ability to pay. We look at every application, so you will always be treated as an individual, not a number on a credit report. You can order a new debit or credit card through our contact center at (307) 682-6105. Cards typically arrive in 7-10 business days. Please make sure your mailing address is correct at the time of order. A $5.00 fee will be charged if a lost debit or credit card is being replaced within six months of the last issuance.

Instant issue debit cards can also be printed and activated same-day at any of our locations at no additional charge. We encourage you to call ahead to request your card so we can have it ready for you when you come to pick it up.

Your expiring card will remain active until the last day of the month your card is expiring. Replacement cards are issued automatically and are generally received by the third week of the month. If you have not received your card by this time, please reach out to our contact center at (307) 682-6105 to verify that your card was issued and sent to the correct address.

Make sure you are calling from the phone number that you have on file with the credit union. If you continue having trouble, please call our contact center at (307) 682-6105 for assistance activating your card. Make sure to update the phone number we have on file if your number has changed.

Please ensure that the charge was not authorized by another signer on your account, and research the vendor, as charges will often clear under the name of parent companies or subsidiaries.

If you are certain the charge was not made by you or another signer on your account, a dispute claim will have to be filed with one of our representatives. Please reach out to our contact center at (307) 682-6105 for further assistance.

Many deposits and payments can be processed via electronic channels, such as our Remote Capture Deposit system or Online Loan Payment portal.

If offered by your employer, you can fill out our direct deposit form and submit it to your payroll department to have your paycheck deposited electronically.

Loan payments can be transferred from your Campco FCU checking or savings account via our online banking system.

Campco FCU does not guarantee that your deposit will be processed before any pre-authorized payments, checks, or debit/credit card transactions are debited from your account. Non-sufficient funds fees may apply, if applicable. All checks deposited are subject to Campco’s Funds Availability Policy.
