SCAM ALERT
There are several scams circulating either by email or mail. Never give out any information involving your debit card or credit card from these types of solicitation.
There is an email currently being received by our members that says "To take advantage if our new consumer identity Theft Protection Program we had to deactivate access to your card account. Please call this # to activate. Do not respond to the email" It is signed by NCUA, CUNA & credit union. THIS IS A SCAM--DO NOT CALL THEM!
If you receive a check in the mail with a letter that says you have won a large sum of money however they we only able to send you partial payment and you will need to wire them a sum of money for administrative costs, then they will send the balance---DO NOT DEPOSIT THESE CHECKS AND WIRE THEM MONEY!! THIS IS A SCAM. The checks will come back fraudulent, you will be responsible for any money you have spent & they will get the money you wired with no way to get that back.
